The Iris iChem Velocity and iQ200 Select are one of the most common automated urinalysis analyzers used in the urinalysis section of many laboratories. There are different varieties and sizes of this type of analyzer and what it can do. The iChem Velocity is nice because it has the ability to read and interpret urinalysis chemistry strips, such as the Chemstrips, Chemstix or Multistix. It can also interpret the ascorbic acid pad to see if there's been any interference by ascorbic acid, found in things like orange juice and other citrus juices and fruits. This particular analyzer is able to read about 210 tests per hour. It can load up to 300 strips. The iQ200 side is the microscopic side that uses a camera to take pictures of components seen in the urine.
